Boy is it a sad drive to the sitter''s house in the morning when it is cloudy and Pierce cant see the moon and stars. Every morning when I put him in his car seat he tells me he is going to find the moon and stars (I told you he is obsessed) this morning it was very cloudy and all I heard (ALL I heard) all the way to Joy''s house was "Where''d the moon go" and "MOOOOON, where are you MOOOOON" over, and over, and over, and over. It was a very long 5 minute drive.
I think our days of having the joys of crib confinement are coming close to an end. Pierce climbed out of his crib yesterday....head first. Joe caught him before he landed which I heard involved some dramatic moving on his part. The good news that came out of all of this is the "big boy bed" that has been sitting in my living room for months now was quickly torn apart and re-assembled in Pierce''s room. We still dont have a mattress so until we get one we have the mattress from our guest bed on the floor next to his crib in case our Houdini decides to escape again. Im SO not looking forward to the big boy bed, I know he will be up a million times a night and probably get up for the day at 4AM.
In other news...the book My Big Boy Potty arrived at our house yesterday. Pierce sat for about 10 minutes on his Dora the Explorer potty seat that fits over the toilet swinging his legs while I read it to him. No production on the potty though. We will keep trying.
Today we took Pierce to the pumpkin patch on Rt 40. They have a lot of fun stuff for the kids to do and of course, as usual his favorite was the slide. We each took home a pumpkin!! There are pictures of our day and also of Pierce sporting his new Ohio State Jersey over in his Oct 2005 album!
